When thinking of Tennessee, many people think of its country music scene as opposed to its top-rated post high school educational system. The public school system, The University of Tennessee system, is administered by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. The public school system is comprised of four-year universities, community colleges and plenty of trade schools, which are all located throughout Tennessee. Private colleges also make their home in the state, the largest being Vanderbilt University, which enrolls approximately 12,000 students.
